On September 13, 1982 Bogusław, aged 22, was a victim of a car accident in which a bus hit a motorcycle. Since that moment he has to take medicines and requires constant treatment and rehabilitation. Persistent complications resulting for the accident as well as permanent disability necessitate constatant medical care. Moreover, Bogusław requires help of other people in his day-to-day life. As his health worsens, he is unable to find a job. The injuries that Bogusław suffered such as: pubic bone fracture, injured syndesmosis of pubic symphysis, thigh bone fracture and the amputation of shin caused numerous and advanced degenerative changes, problems with spine and hip, scoliosis in various sections of the spine, spinal disc hernation, degenrative changes in the stump displaying signs of osteoporosis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C and many more health problems.

Very hard financial situation (PLN439.39 of disability benefit a month and PLN61 of benefit) make it impossible to hope for a future recovery, especially as Bogusław lives alone.
